Scion has announced pricing for the 2012 xB, tC, and special-edition tC RS 7.0. The models receive new standard equipment for the 2012 model year.
The boxy xB scores a new Pioneer audio system with Bluetooth and HD radio capabilities, plus USB and auxiliary audio inputs. An optional 200-watt Pioneer audio system builds on those features with a touch-screen interface, iTunes song tagging, and Pandora internet radio. The 2012 Scion xB starts at $17,020 (including a $720 destination charge) with a five-speed manual transmission, or $17,970 with a four-speed automatic transmission, increases of $300 over 2011 models.
The Scion tC scores the same Pioneer audio system as standard, also bumping its base price up $300. The 2012 Scion tC costs $19,295 (including destination) with a six-speed manual transmission, or $$20,295 with a six-speed automatic.
Scion also released pricing for the new, special-edition tC RS 7.0. The car wears High Voltage yellow paint, black 18-inch wheels, new body parts, and black-and-yellow seats. Just 2200 copies will be built, and each will bear a sticker price of $21,625 (including destination) with a six-speed manual, or $22,625 with a six-speed automatic.
The 2012 xB and tC arrive in Scion dealerships in July.
