Roush calls its supercharger the ROUSHcharger and it's capable of pushing the 5.0-liter V-8 to the range of 500-550 horsepower on pump gas. Different pulleys are planned for a later date and the kit will be available next month. As it stands right now, it should offer those considering Ford Racing's 525-horsepower supercharger kit another option at a comparable price. Capability is coming to push output over 600 horses to better compete with Ford Racing's 624-horsepower unit.
The supercharger kit carries a suggested retail price of $5999 and contains the following as detailed by the Roush Web site.
