Another day, another recall. This time, the recall involves four Volvo vehicles -- the S40, S60, V50, and XC60 -- recalled for a power seat flaw.
The Problem: A number of power front passenger seats were manufactured incorrectly, and lack end stops on the seat rails. As a result, the front passenger could position the seat farther forward than is safe. The increased proximity to both the dashboard and airbag could pose a greater risk of injury during a collision.
The Fix: Dealers will rectify the issue by installing end stops on seats built without them. Owners of potentially affected vehicles will be contacted at a later date, but until then, may contact Volvo at email@example.com. Owners can also go to www.safercar.gov to see more information about the recall and its fix.
Number of Vehicles Potentially Affected: 7420 vehicles in North America.
