The 2013 Woodward Dream Cruise is this weekend, and Ram will be showing a new concept truck on August 17. Here are a few teaser shots of the truck, which appears to be another version of the Ram Rumble Bee from 2004 and 2005.
The photos show a Ram 1500 decked out in a yellow paint job with special wheels. The front end shot displays two aggressive hood scoops, and the interior shot shows the Ram’s new rotary knob shifter with a yellow bee graphic inset and a “Rumble Bee” logo below.
The previous Ram Rumble Bee was a spinoff of the Dodge Charger Super Bee special edition which was itself inspired by the legendary Dodge Super Bee of the 60s and 70s. Produced in 2004 and 2005, the Ram Rumble Bee was a limited edition model, with 3700 made in 2004 and a “second swarm” of 5000 units made in 2005. Although, the Ram Rumble Bee did not produce any more power than the standard Ram, it was equipped with the 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 and was available in either black or yellow with a bee stripe at the rear.
We don’t know anything else about this upcoming Ram Rumble Bee concept, but stay tuned for the truck’s official reveal this Saturday.
