British tuning firm Project Kahn has now launched a new business arm called the Chelsea Truck Company. Its first project was this Jeep Wrangler, which Kahn asserts is “wholly unmistakable.” We agree.
Kahn touts the “targa” hardtop found on its customized JK, but from what we can tell, it’s little more than the OEM hardtop painted to match the Jeep’s body panels. Perhaps more shocking is the red quilted leather upholstery, red instrument gauges, and matte-black wheels measuring either 18 or 20 inches depending on the buyer’s sense of taste.
Company boss Afzal Kahn says the Jeep Wrangler “is a stylish icon” that will fit in with the chic styles of New York, London, or Chelsea, while also appealing to outdoorsy types who enjoy off-roading and action sports. Good luck cleaning dirt clods out of your quilted leather.
The Kahn Jeep is available abroad in right- or left-hand drive forms, and starts at the equivalent of $43,771 with a diesel engine or $45,390 with a gasoline engine.
