Priced: 2013 Toyota RAV4 Sees Modest Price Bump to $24,145

The 2013 Toyota RAV4 may have lots its optional third row of seats, but it does see a modest price bump. A base-model RAV4 LE will cost $24,145, or $650 more than the outgoing model. Since the formerly optional V-6 engine is gone from the Toyota’s lineup, all RAV4s will be powered by a 176-hp 2.5-liter I-4 and receive as standard equipment a USB hookup and 6.1-inch touch screen with Bluetooth connectivity.

The 2013 Toyota RAV4 LE with all-wheel drive starts at $25,545, and offers standard equipment like privacy glass, body color-matched door handles and rear spoiler, 17-inch steel wheels with wheel covers, and a rearview camera. Stepping up to the 2013 Toyota RAV4 XLE will cost you $25,135 for the front-drive version and $26,535 for an all-wheel-drive model. The trim gets standard 17-inch alloy wheels, power moonroof with tilt/slide capability, fog lamps, dual zone climate control, and sport-bolstered premium bucket seats as standard. The only option on the XLE is the Entune infotainment system with navigation.

RAV4 Limited models receive a height-adjustable power liftgate, SofTex seating surfaces, an eight-way power driver’s seat with memory, and heated front seats as standard, and start at $27,855 for front-drive models and $29,255 for all-wheel drive. Limited buyers can choose from Toyota’s array of infotainment options for the 6.1-inch Display Audio system, including navigation, Entune, and the JBL premium audio. Also available is a Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross Traffic Alert. Expected fuel economy for front-drive 2013 Toyota RAV4s is 24/31 mpg city/highway and 22/29 mpg with all-wheel drive. For comparison, the 2013 Honda CR-V gets 23/31 mpg in front-drive form and 22/30 mpg with all-wheel drive.

The 2013 Toyota RAV4 goes on sale beginning in early January next year. All prices above reflect an $845 destination charge.
