Porsche offers dozens of expensive branded trinkets for loyal fans and owners, but the newest items are actual components from its cars. The Porsche Driver's Selection store now includes an office chair that matches the seats in a Porsche 911 Carrera sports car, along with a shelf that's made from an actual racing car wing.
The rolling office chair is made to the exact same specifications and is covered in the same leather as the bucket seats in a Porsche 911 Carrera. On top of that, it has a power-recline feature that uses the same type of switches found in the real car seat, as well as an embossed Porsche crest in the headrest. For the discerning 911 owner, the chair "provides familiar comfort long after the drive to work," Porsche says.
There's also a new shelf made from the rear wing of a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup racing car. In addition to providing your living room wall with additional downforce, the company says the shelf can support up to 263 pounds of other Porsche trinkets, such as the $240 brake rotor bookend pictured.
The final new addition to the Porsche Driver's Selection is a 1:8-scale Porsche 918 Spyder. Like the real-life hybrid supercar, the plastic model is limited to just 918 units. Unlike the real one, we doubt the toy can complete a lap of the Nürburgring in 6 minutes 57 seconds.
Prices for the Porsche 911 Carrera office chair, 911 GT3 Cup shelf, and scale-model 918 Spyder have not yet been released.
