Italian design house Pininfarina took to Facebook to release this teaser photo of the Cambiano, a concept car that will be shown at the Geneva Motor Show at the end of February. The tightly cropped photo doesn’t reveal much about the concept car, other than the presence of super-skinny headlights.
The car’s name comes from the town of Cambiano, Italy, headquarters of the Pininfarina Group since 1982. It was chosen because this year marks two milestones for Pininfarina in that town: the 30th anniversary of the Styling Center’s inauguration, and the tenth anniversary of Pininfarina’s Engineering Center. The company says the car will showcase all of Pininfarina’s engineering and design talents.
Among the many recent production cars styled in part by Pininfarina are the Ferrari 458 Italia and 458 Spider. At last year’s Geneva show, we saw the DeTomaso SLC concept that had been penned by Pininfarina.
If Pininfarina follows the trend of other automakers who tease concept cars on Facebook, expect more images to appear over the coming weeks in the lead-up to the Geneva show.
