We know you're already cramming as many apps as you possibly can onto that gleaming new iPhone 4 of yours, but if you're looking to tap into a fresh source of auto news and reviews of the latest cars, you may want to make room for Automobile Magazine's new iPhone app.

Thankfully, you won't need that much room -- or even the latest iPhone, for that matter. The application is only 1.2 megabytes in size, needs only iOS 3.0 to run, and can be used on either iPhone and iPod Touch. Best of all? It's free -- and you can download it for yourself by jumping to Apple's App Store by clicking here.

OFFICIAL RELEASE

Zumobi, the first premium mobile app network, and Source Interlink Media today announced the launch of the Automobile Magazine application for iPhone and iPod Touch. Sponsored by Cadillac, the Automobile Magazine app brings the magazine's deep knowledge of cars to the mobile platform.

"Recently, we gave readers the ability to access some of our material on their phones through a mobile newsletter subscription," said Jean Jennings, president and editor-in-chief of Automobile Magazine. "But now, through our partnership with Zumobi, we can provide our readers with so much more. We understand our readers' passion for cars and we want them to be able to access our informative and engaging content anywhere they are and at any time. Bringing Automobile Magazine to mobile is one of the best ways to do so and allows us to target an even broader audience."

With the free Automobile Magazine app, millions of enthusiasts can now immerse themselves in the magazine content that they love - right from their iPhone or iPod Touch. The app interface allows for easy navigation by offering consumers a full view of the menu options, each linking to a popular section of the magazine: "Driven" for all-access to car reviews, videos, and photo galleries; "Rumors" to keep users up to speed on all the latest news; and "Features" to guide users through great driving adventures, Four Seasons tests, awards, and more. From within the app itself, all information is easily shared via e-mail and users are able to subscribe to Automobile Magazine with just the click of a button.

"The release of the Automobile Magazine app marks an extension of our partnership with Source Interlink Media to adapt and monetize their content on the mobile platform," said Ken Willner, CEO of Zumobi. "Expanding our inventory of world-class automotive content, the Automobile Magazine app is a great addition to our network and increases our reach to a prized, affluent demographic. Automobile Magazine has an incredibly loyal and passionate readership, and we're looking forward to bringing them the content they love every day through this new application."

"We are excited to continue our company's mobile roll-out initiative with the world-class Automobile Magazine app," said Jacqueline Blum, senior vice president business development, Source Interlink Companies. "Giving our enthusiast readers what they want, when and where they want it, is our ongoing goal."

In addition to offering outstanding automotive content, the Automobile Magazine app also offers compelling advertising opportunities, as demonstrated with Cadillac's campaign. Automobile Magazine's audience, combined with Zumobi's BrandBlast 2.0 "app within an app" advertising technology, creates the ideal environment for Cadillac to engage with consumers through dynamic rich media that allows users to view photos, locate a dealer, or respond to a survey.

"The Automobile Magazine readership is exactly the audience that we at Cadillac want to reach," said Kim Brink, executive director of advertising and sales promotion from Cadillac. "Because of Zumobi's creative ad integration that guarantees placement with trusted third-party content, we jumped on the opportunity to sponsor an application like this one on their network. We are confident that we will effectively reach a highly targeted audience who have the passion for all things automotive."

The Automobile Magazine app is available for free on Apple's App Store and as part of the Zumobi Network, a premium mobile app network. The Zumobi Network offers a variety of entertaining, informative, and useful mobile media applications to enjoy on next-generation smartphones. It can be downloaded here.
