One-Off 2013 SRT Viper Created For Charity Auction

Chrysler's SRT brand built a one-off special edition of the 2013 SRT Viper to help benefit a charity auction. The Viper GTS was built for Sons Of Italy Foundation, a charity supporting Americans of Italian heritage. The car will be auctioned off later this year to benefit the charity.

Modifications to the 2013 SRT Viper GTS begin with a unique tri-coat pearl white paint job, called Avorio Pearla. Just aft of the "SRT" badge on the front fenders is a small Italian flag emblem. The car sits on dark-chrome 12-spoke wheels, which are normally offered as options on other SRT models (the 300, Charger, Challenger, and Grand Cherokee), but until now haven't been available on the Viper.

"What's cool about this white is that it has a lot of travel in the color," SRT Design head Mark Trostle said in a statement. "It really shows off the shapes of the car very well. It catches a lot of light, especially on the hood."

Inside, the 2013 SRT Viper GTS has sepia leather upholstery, with a one-inch thick stripe running the length of each seat that contains the colors of the Italian flag, red, white, and green. The "Stryker" emblem on the car's steering wheel is red, and the "GTS" badging on the passenger side of the dashboard once again picks up the colors of the Italian flag -- green for the G, white for the T, and red for the S.

Beneath the long hood, the car's 8.4-liter V-10 engine is untouched. It continues to direct 640 hp and 600 lb-ft of torque through a six-speed manual transmission to the rear wheels.

The Sons Of Italy Foundation recently honored Fiat-Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne with its Award for Excellence in Global Business. "He is responsible for turning around two major automobile companies, Italian auto manufacturer Fiat and American manufacturer Chrysler," the Foundation said in a statement.
