Think the premise of a tuned Ferrari is crazy? The new F430 Scuderia from German tuner Novitec Rosso is even crazier. It’s called the 747 Edition-- not for the Boeing plane, but for its 747-hp twin-supercharged V-8.
The F430 Scuderia is one of the fastest Ferraris of all time, but that didn’t mean Novitec Rosso would leave well enough alone. The company bolted on two superchargers, allowing the 4.3-liter V-8 to pump out an extra 239 hp and an extra 194 lb-ft of torque. In spite of the power, the 0-62 mph time is three-tenths of a second slower than a stock Scuderia, but the top end jumps 20 mph to 218.
To help control the power, Novitec Rosso added some impressive rolling stock to the car. The rear wheels measure in at 20by 12 inches, and are wrapped with 315/25 summer performance tires. Up front, the Ferrari wears 20-by 8.5-inch wheels, shod with 245/30 rubber. Even though the tires are better equipped to handle the incredible amount of power, we’re certain they’ll still vaporize quite easily…
In the name of weight savings, the Scuderia eschews many creature comforts, but Novitec Rosso will add amenities upon request. Interiors trimmed completely in leather or Alcantara are available, as are additional carbon fiber trim panels.
We’ve not yet heard of a price tag for this monster, but as the adage goes, “if you have to ask…”
