Next-Generation Hyundai Elantra Caught in Parking Lot Video

The next-generation Hyundai Elantra has been featured in a video that may be spotlighting a new parking feature that uses a camera or some other type of sensor mounted in front.

Or, we suppose, the video could just be showing the Elantra parking between a current-generation Elantra and a new Sonata. About that outgoing Elantra, comparing the two vehicles shows the new model to have much more pronounced character lines. Expect the new sedan to continue the car's midsize category designation by the EPA while competing with compact sedans. Look closely at the new Elantra backing up and you'll see slim LEDs integrated into the side mirrors. We don't know if this feature will make it to the U.S. model, but with the 2012 Ford Focus and 2010 Mazda3 hoping to cater to those who appreciate luxury features in a smaller car, don't count it out. Watch the 71-second video, complete with inspirational pop music, right here. Need more Elantra? Head here for powertrain information and here for spyshots.
