2005 Dodge Ram SRT10 Quad Cab Front Passenger Side View Can a 500-hp hot-rod pickup with 22- inch wheels, a huge rear wing, and a fighter-jet-sized scoop in the hood ever be considered sensible transportation? Nope. But Dodge is about to unleash the four-door SRT-10 Quad Cab anyway. With comfy seating for a grinning driver and four terrified passengers, the SRT-10 Quad Cab packs the Viper roadster's 8.3-liter V-10, good for 500 hp and 525 lb-ft of torque. The regular Ram SRT-10's six-speed manual has been supplanted by a heavy-duty four-speed automatic. (We suggest you use that free hand to hold onto your license and registration.) ON SALE: Fall 2004
PRICE: $60,000 (est.)
ENGINE: 500-hp, 8.3-liter V-10
BOTTOM LINE: With a Viper engine, the SRT-10 hauls ass. With a back seat, it hauls even more of them.
