Forza Motorsport 5 Ad Mclaren On The Track
This week, we bring you a roundup with everything from ads featuring Mercedes and chickens, to European performance thoroughbreds from Italy, Germany and England. The virtual world also meets the real world with a McLaren MP4-12C being used as a camera vehicle for the upcoming Forza 5 video game.
America's home-grown supercar, the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray faces off against its historical arch-nemesis, the Porsche 911 Carrera, as well as facing a far more powerful and more expensive opponent, the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta. Finally, Hot Rod asks drifters what the most effective powertrain formula is to create lots of tire smoke on a low budget. Watch these all and more below!
If you’ve spent any amount of time around fans of American muscle, you’ve probably heard the term “there’s no replacement for displacement.” While you’ll certainly find no shortage of fans of traditional V-8 power, there’s more than one way to produce horsepower, some of which combine the best of both worlds.
It may be hard to conceive of a 3300-lb car with 616 hp as lacking a “soul,” but that charge has been leveled by some against the McLaren MP4-12C, saying it lacks the passion or engagement of some of its rivals like the Ferrari 458 Italia. But “The World’s Fastest Car Show” host Justin Bell takes issue with the McLaren MP4-12C’s critics, praising the car’s capabilities and sharp reflexes on the track.
Ford may have professional “Dirty Jobs” guy Mike Rowe, Chevy has the mellifluous melodies of Will Hoge, but Ram has the deep-throated, no-nonsense voice of Hollywood legend Sam Elliott, with plenty of tough, no-nonsense footage of its trucks hard-at-work in real-life hard-labor scenarios. To further accentuate the authenticity of its HD trucks, Ram will employ real workers in its upcoming ad campaign.
It’s a battle that’s played out numerous times since the 1960s: Ferrari versus Chevrolet Corvette versus Porsche 911. For today’s episode of Head 2 Head, Motor Trend collected the latest and greatest and did hot laps at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. Will the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Z51 be deemed the best driver’s car of the three? Or will it be the 2014 Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, or 2013 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S? Read on to find out.
The 2014 Mazda3 is an enormously important car for Mazda, and in a new video, we go behind the scenes of the automaker’s launch film. Using an outgoing Mazda3 as a stand-in vehicle, the 2014 Mazda3 video and an accompanying 30-second ad were completed thanks to the magic of CGI.
What do chickens and Mercedes-Benz have in common? A new commercial from Mercedes aims to find out, advertising for the new Magic Body Control suspension system found in the redesigned 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class.
The 2014 Ferrari F12 Berlinetta is the most powerful front-engine V-12 Ferrari ever produced. On the latest episode of Ignition, host Carlos Lago takes the grand touring car to the drag strip and Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca to see how well it performs.
A McLaren 12C is used as a high-speed camera car to shoot footage of the upcoming Forza Motorsport 5 video game in a new set of videos. Although this McLaren may be one of the fastest camera cars in the world, these videos show that there are many more calculations involved to capture the shot than you might think.
