Motor Racing Legends Allows Car Clubs to Drive Le Mans Circuit

Every year, Motor Racing Legends gives one car club a unique opportunity over the weekend of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Motor Racing Legends offers Le Mans tours that give the car club members the privilege of driving the full Le Mans circuit.

The tour is a by invitation only affair and is generally arranged for one specific car make. Last year, the invitation was sent to the Ferrari Owners’ Club and over 60 Ferraris of all ages showed up to drive the track.

For 2009 Motor Racing Legends plans to showcase brands that have traditionally held a strong link to Le Mans. Applications to participate in the tour are open to any year car and the ‘field’ is expected to include everything from new Aston Martins to historic Jaguars.

During the Le Mans weekend, all the public roads are closed so driving the circuit the same weekend is an extremely rare opportunity. It is an experience participants are likely never to forget. One participant said “Having watched the race for years from the other side of the fence, I will never ever forget the experience of heading down the start-finish straight at speed… It was difficult to comprehend that I was actually there.”

Motor Racing Legends also offers a 4-night, 5-day fully inclusive Le Mans weekend package. The package includes travel and accommodations and covers tickets to the 24 Hours of Le Mans, covered grandstand seats reserved for participants, full circuit hospitality in a private facility amidst racing drivers and teams in the center of the track.
