Mopar-Spec 2014 Dodge Challenger Teased

Chrysler Group released today an image of the soon-to-be-unveiled 2014 Dodge Mopar ’14 Challenger. Set to debut at next month’s SEMA show in Las Vegas, the limited-edition model looks to be a revival of the 2010 Dodge Mopar ’10 Challenger.

The image highlights the new 2014 Dodge Mopar ’14 Challenger’s rear fender, clad in white with a race-inspired stripe extending from the side of the car and onto the top of the trunk. Like past Mopar offerings, which include the 2010 Mopar ’10 Challenger, 2011 Mopar ‘11 Charger, 2012 Mopar ‘12 300, and 2013 Mopar ‘13 Dart, expect this year’s model to receive some mild cosmetic and performance enhancements.

The Dodge Mopar ’10 Challenger boasted a full range of special features including distinct Mopar-badged leather seats, leather steering wheel, and unique exterior graphics. Performance upgrades included a custom cold air intake system, front and rear strut tower braces, and under hood venting and water management system for the brutish T/A-style hood scoop. Those performance parts added 15 hp to the 376 hp available from the stock 2010 Dodge Challenger R/T’s 5.7-liter V-8.

Will the Mopar ’14 Challenger boast similar enhancements? Chrysler isn’t saying at this point in time, but a quote attributed to Mopar brand president and CEO Pietro Gorlier suggests the latest Moparized Challenger will “instantly resonate with enthusiasts,” and is designed “for muscle-car fans who love high octane and customizable performance.”

Expect to learn more about the 2014 Challenger Mopar ’14 shortly, as the car will make its debut at the 2014 SEMA show, right alongside a number of other one-off Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Fiat concept vehicles. Those vehicles will be on display at the SEMA show at the Las Vegas Convention Center from November 5-8.
