For a while now, it's seemed as though Mini has been eschewing their own name and going bigger and bigger, first with the Clubman and now with the Countryman crossover. How is the brand responding to such criticism? By going the complete opposite direction with an electric scooter.
Breaking the news on their official Facebook page, the all-things-small brand released three sketches of a yellow-on-black scooter that will apparently make its debut in Paris just a few weeks from now. Billed as the "future of urban mobility," we don't know much about this electric scooter other than what we can see in the pictures. No specifications of any kind have been announced. Similar products already exist on the market, though from dedicated manufacturers rather than eccentric automakers.
What do you think? Is this deviation from the traditional route the right move for Mini, or has the company lost the plot? Tell us what you think in the comments below, and stay tuned for our complete coverage of the 2010 Paris Motor Show on September 30 and October 1.
