Merry Christmas: 2011 Chevrolet Camaro SS Convertible Neiman Marcus Edition

Every year, Neiman Marcus releases its Christmas Book as a guide to the ultimate holiday gifts, one of which is a special edition car. This year, General Motors' new 2011 Chevrolet Camaro SS Convertible made the list.

"Neiman Marcus provides a great platform to showcase the new Camaro Convertible," Tom Peters, design director at Chevrolet said. "And, it enabled us to create a special edition car that combines the powerful design and performance of the new Camaro with an element of exclusivity, craftsmanship, and customized luxury."

The new exclusive luxury features are special appointments by Neiman Marcus along with a number of bespoke exterior features. The Bordeaux -colored paint with ghost rally stripes is unique to the Neiman Marcus Camaro Convertible as is the color-matched top. It also sports exclusive 21-inch, polished aluminum wheels and a matte silver windshield surround.

Changes continue inside the car as well, where buyers will find bespoke leather interior appointments. The amber-colored leather on the seats is unique to the special edition car as are the black door panels and contrasting red stitching. Red is also seen on center console, steering wheel, and shift knob accents. Lastly the Bordeaux exterior color is featured on the wraparound trim on the door panel and dashboard.

The price for all this "exclusivity, craftsmanship, and customized luxury?" A cool $75,000 -- likely some $40,000 over what a base Camaro Convertible will sticker for. Only 100 copies of the car will be made however.

Neiman Marcus unveiled the $75,000 Camaro was earlier today at its flagship store in Dallas, Texas, where it might make sense to feature a convertible on a Christmas list. Here in the northern climate though, we'd be stuck with our Christmas gifts' top up for some time. Those interested in buying one of the special edition muscle cars can be begin reserving the car at noon on October 19. We recommend reserving your copy as early as possible as last year's Jaguar XJ sold out in a mere four hours.
