Mellow Yellow? TechArt Previews Customized Porsche 911 For Geneva Show

So your 991-generation Porsche 911 is finally here, and you're itching to make it different from the one sitting in your neighbor's garage. What do you do? Our advice: go to the Geneva Motor Show and talk to the people at Techart, a German tuning firm that just previewed its range of modifications for the 991-generation Porsche 911. TechArt is no stranger to some crazy modifications, so it shouldn't surprise anyone that the launch color for its new Porsche 911 exterior and interior design programs is a bright shade of yellow. That yellow is on, well, everything: after painting the existing car in the color, TechArt adds body color headlight surrounds, as well as a comprehensive body kit that includes a lower, more aggressive front fascia, chiseled side skirts, and a body-color rear diffuser that sits between quad exhaust pipes. The package is finished with a set of black-and-yellow 20- or 21-inch wheels, and a large fixed rear wing much like that used on the 997-series 911 GT3. Inside, the lunacy continues with plenty more yellow. TechArt's interior package includes body-color seat belts, as well as large swathes of leather and alcantara, with bright yellow contrast stitching. Other things that get the yellow treatment: door handles, the gear shifter, gauge surrounds, and HVAC vent sliders. The interior is finished with a TechArt three-spoke steering wheel that features paddle shifters for the PDK dual-clutch transmission. At this point, TechArt doesn’t have any significant power upgrades available, but it does promises a better, sportier engine note thanks to a TechArt-designed exhaust system with valves that promise a strong sound while still meeting E.U. sound regulations. If you're not a fan of yellow, TechArt promises plenty of other options, including a bright red and white interior/exterior color. This being TechArt, we can imagine that you can get just about any color you want, provided you're willing to pay the price. The bright yellow Porsche 911 will take the stand at next week's Geneva Motor Show. Expect a flood of TechArt-fettled cars, including one or two with some sort of manic power upgrade, to follow.
