Lumma Design Tunes the 2011 Porsche Cayenne

Porsche is not the only one to retouch the 2011 Cayenne. German tuner Lumma Design has put its time in and come out with an updated Cayenne called the CLR 550 GT.

After deeming the 2011 Cayenne’s exterior to be "somewhat reserved," Lumma crafted an all-new front bumper cover that incorporates a healthy dose of carbon fiber. LED daytime running lights and foglights help supply extra illumination on the road.

A new carbon-fiber and Kevlar hood continues the aggressive look, and features air inlets and a raised windshield wiper cover to reduce drag. The revised side skirts double as cooling ducts and help channel airflow to cool the rear brakes. Custom openings in the door fixtures also assist with brake cooling.

Out back, carbon fiber dominates the rear fascia. The new rear bumper cover features an integrated carbon-fiber diffuser with a triple exhaust setup exiting the center of the panel. Instead of sporting just one rear wing, new spoilers make their way onto the roof and tailgate, both built from -- you guessed it -- carbon fiber. A Lumma-specific CLR 550 GT badge sits beneath the rear license plate holder.

As this is a tuner sport-utility vehicle, large wheels are a requisite. Lumma offers two forged aluminum designs in both 22- and 23-inch guises (the 23-inch rims are pictured).

For the time being, the CLR 550 GT is only a cosmetic dress-up kit, but Lumma plans performance upgrades and fresh interior trimmings, which will be unveiled at a later date.

Based in Winterlingen, Germany, Lumma has previously lent its creativity to the Panamera Turbo and BMW X6 M.
