The advent of a new Lotus model isn’t an everyday occasion, but the launch of the new 2010 Evora excited Matthew Melling so much, he purchased the first car built.
“I was determined to be the first in the world to get my hands on an Evora,” said Melling, who lives in Twickenham, England. “I laid down my deposit within seconds of the order books being opened last year.”

<;P class=MsoNormal>Melling is apparently not alone in his love of the Evora. Demand for the latest Lotus is so strong, the automaker hired 150 extra employees to build the car,and production is sold out through the next five months. Production of the Evora is expected to meet its capacity by the end of November, and U.S.-spec cars should arrive stateside early next year.
