Los Angeles 2010: Ford Brings Its Customized 2012 Focus Road Show to SoCal

SEMA may be in in the past, but Ford's endless parade of customized 2012 Focus models has yet to stop. In fact, three tricked-out cars managed to work their way to Los Angeles, where they're being shown off on the automaker's display stand.

2012 Focus by Ford Vehicle Personalization

It isn't unusual that Ford let its own in-house tuning parts and accessories wing -- Ford Vehicle Personalization -- take a stab at modifying its new global compact car. After all, if Ford can create, produce, and sell gotta-have accessories for it's own car, the automaker and its dealer network can only stand to benefit. The FVP Focus treatment largely sticks to cosmetics -- the white car receives splashes of Carribean Blue paint on its wheels, grille, and door trim, allowing the car to reportedly "mimic current trends seen in fashion." Other accessories include a roof spoiler, graphics package, and silver accents on the side-view mirrors.

2012 Focus by FSWerks

Unlike Ford's customized Focus, tuning house FSWerks sought to add a little extra in the performance department. Ride height has been lowered by three inches, while the engine receives a cold air intake, and a high-flow stainless steel exhaust system. FSWerks' Focus also receives a retina-melting orange paint job, topped off by custom side skirts, mirrors, and 19-inch wheels treated to a gold finish.

2012 Focus by 3dCarbon

Diamonds are purportedly forever, but car customization doesn't have to be. Although 3dCarbon's Focus rocks a matte black exterior finish, it isn't actually paint. Instead, the hue is applied via a removable foil wrap. 3dCarbon's car also receives red accents on the hood, door trim, side-view mirrors, and the 20-inch black wheels.
