Long-time Mercedes-Benz tuner Lorinser has recently gotten its hands on the all-new CLS. Upgrades for the four-door "coupe" include new aerodynamic trim pieces, sportier exhausts, custom interior bits, and new sets of wheels and tires.
Lorinser touts its body components as a combination of “dynamic design with efficient aerodynamics” which it says contribute to “sensational stylishness and optimized airflow” for Mercedes’ four-door coupe. The German tuner offers a front bumper spoiler, wider wings, rear skirt, rear lip, and roof spoiler for the new CLS.
Upgrades to the electronics are also available through Lorinser. The V-6 CLS 350 CGI can be upgraded to 322 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque while removing the 155 mph speed limiter, allowing the car to reach 165 mph. Also offered are performance mufflers with quad tips designed to fit flush with its rear bumper upgrade. However, the CLS is currently only offered with a 4.6-liter twin-turbo V-8 engine in the U.S. market.
Lorinser offers several staggered wheel upgrades including 19- and 20-inch options, calling the options either “sporty and striking” or “elegant and sophisticated.” The RS8 wheel sports a turbine pattern; the RS9 is a silver painted light-weight aluminum wheel featuring a five slot, triple spoke design. The RSK6 is a multi-piece five spoke alloy center-bolted to the hoop with stainless steel bolts.
Front 19-inch wheels are 8.5 inches wide and rears are 9.5 inches with Lorinser recommending 255/35 and 293/30 size tires respectively. Twenty-inch versions come in nine-inch widths for the front, and massive 10-inch-wide rims for the rear. 255/30 and 295/25-size Continental tires are recommended, respectively.
Interior upgrades available through Lorinser include accessories like aluminum pedals and door sills illuminated with the Lorinser logo, but the company can create complete custom leather interiors if the buyer so desires.
