Legal Action Against Mahindra in U.S. Dropped, Case Continues in UK Courts

The update occurred thanks to a similar case making its way to a British arbitration tribunal. According to Automotive News, arbitrators in the UK said the U.S. case would have to be dropped before the case could continue.

Whether or not Global Vehicles U.S.A. Inc. becomes Mahindra's exclusive U.S. distributor, the automaker will still need to explain to dealers why the compact diesel truck with a promised 30-mpg highway EPA rating recently was EPA-rated at 21 mpg. According to Mahindra, a four-door, four-wheel-drive truck was initially submitted for testing and it expects the two-door, two-wheel-drive truck to make good on its 30 mpg promise. Pricing has yet to be announced for the highly anticipated and much-delayed truck lineup.
