Kia Teases Superhero-Themed Forte Koup SEMA Car

Kia has teased a modified version of the Forte Koup that will go on display at the Specialty Equipment Manufacturer Show in Las Vegas at the end of this month. The car wears design cues inspired by the DC Entertainment comic-book character The Flash. The Kia Forte Koup will appear at SEMA alongside three other customized Kia rides inspired by the DC Entertainment characters Aquaman, The Flash, Cyborg, and Green Lantern. The company already showed off its Batman-themed Kia Optima sedan, and all the cars are part of a ten-month partnership between Kia and DC Entertainment. The vehicles are supposed to help raise awareness of DC's "We Can Be Heroes" campaign to end poverty. Kia hasn't revealed much about its modified Forte Koup so far. The car was customized by California tuning shop West Coast Customs, and appears to have a hood cut-out so bystanders can see the engine, as well as bright red paint with a big gold lightning bolt -- the latter to symbolize The Flash. We'll bring you more once the Kia Forte Koup is revealed at the SEMA show on Tuesday, October 30. Of course, this year's SEMA show will be one of the last opportunities for tuners to meddle with the current version of the Forte. Kia already has shown photos of the next Forte sedan, and we expect the two-door 2014 Forte Koup will make its debut next spring. Source: Kia
