Infiniti already expressed a slight interest in challenging AMG, Quattro, M, and F with the Infiniti Performance Lineup, but if recent reports from Japan are correct, company officials are ready to step up its performance game effortsa notch or two.
Thanks to Best Car magazine, we bring to you very early sketches of a proposed high performance M56-based sedan. If produced, power from the 5.6-liter V-8 can be expected to jump well above the regular edition's 420 horsepower, as can suspension be significantly revised for better handling and a lower ride height.
We wouldn't be surprised if the now 14-inch Akebono brakes grow slightly to reign in any extra speed. And of course, what's a performance sedan without a bolder aerodynamic package and bigger wheels.
Alongside the M56 was a rendering of a possible next-generation Nissan Altima. It is highly speculative at this point, but from the looks of it, takes most of its design traits directly from the recently revealed Ellure Concept.
But what if Infiniti and Nissan did produce these models, would they sell?
