Infiniti Launches New FX Limited Edition Series in Europe

In an effort to appease its European clientele -- which, apparently, is demanding more luxury and individuality from vehicles -- Infiniti has created the new FX Limited Edition.

Nissan’s premier brand plans on building only 100 examples of the special-edition FX, available as either a FX37S or a FX50S. Colors are limited to either a standard “Black Obsidian” hue, or an optional “Moonlight White” color shown here. 21-inch “Turbine” wheels are finished in a dark graphite color, as are the grille insert, side vents, and roof rails. Headlamps are smoked, lending the front fascia a shadowy appearance.

The majority of the changes lurk inside the FX’s cabin. Designers replaced the normal wood trim found on the instrument panel, doors, and center console with carbon fiber. The headliner is trimmed in Alcantara, while graphite leather is applied to the seats, dash pad, and doors. The FX’s usual amenities -- like the 11-speaker Bose audio system and the “Around View Monitor” -- are standard equipment on the Limited Edition;

This prestige doesn’t come cheap, however. The FX37 Limited Edition will run you the equivalent of $88,870, while the FX50 version costs roughly $98,703. Pricey? Just a bit. Remember, though, these figures are converted, so if something like this does make its way stateside, its price tag will likely be more along the lines of fully loaded U.S.-spec models ($55,065 and $65,165, respectively).
