You may not have Tanner Foust’s driving skills, but you may be able to own a car inspired by the professional driver. Foust and Cobb Tuning have created a special-edition 300-hp Focus ST that will arrive in showrooms later this year.
Like the concept shown in Las Vegas last year, the hotted-up hatch gets a body kit inspired by the Focus ST-R, and wears a gray, black and red paint scheme with racing stripes that stretch from the front of the car to the back.  Aerodynamic accessories, a custom blacked-out mesh grille, and wheel and tire package further define the special hatch’s exterior. Underneath the sheetmetal, Foust’s Focus ST gets much more interesting; it benefits from a custom ECU, special intercooler, intake, exhaust, and a fully adjustable suspension. The upgrades will reportedly allow the Focus ST’s 2.0-liter turbocharged Ecoboost engine to produce north of the regular ST’s output of 252 hp to an estimated 300 hp.
The Foust-edition Focus ST from Cobb Tuning isn't the only option for enthusiasts who want an upgraded Focus ST. We recently drive the Shelby Focus ST, which had 275 hp as well as upgrades to the suspension, wheel/tire package, and front brakes.
The special-edition car will hit Ford dealers later this year, and package upgrades will be sold separately for those who don’t want the whole enchilada. Pricing and further details will be revealed in April. Cobb Tuning is also preparing a Fiesta ST for this year’s SEMA show, and a Foust-edition Fiesta ST may follow.
