Early last week, we reported on GM's Corvette Competition Sport Package, which equips either a Corvette 1LT coupe or a Z06 1LZ with cosmetic changes such as gray racing stripes, special aluminum pedals, Corvette racing logos embroidered on the seats, a custom engine cover, and a set of racing numbers based on the vehicle's VIN. Today, we have obtained pricing from GM for the new package.

The Corvette 1LT coupe with the Competition Sport Package-which requires the Z51 package-checks in at $55,655 with destination, a little over $6,000 more than a base Corvette coupe without the Z51 package. The 1LT trim includes the LS3 V-8, a six-speed manual transmission, an active handling system with ABS and traction control, xenon HID headlamps, keyless access and push-button start, an auxiliary audio input jack, and dual zone air conditioning.

The Z06 1LZ equipped with the Competition Sport Package will cost $77,500, including destination charges. A Z06 1LZ with no options costs $74,775 with destination. Z06 1LZ standard features include the LS7 V-8, dry-sump oil system, six-piston front and four-piston rear disc brakes, dual mode exhaust, a six-speed manual transmission, an active handling system with ABS and traction control, xenon HID headlamps, keyless access and push-button start, an auxiliary audio input jack, and dual zone air conditioning.

The package will be available on 2009 models starting this spring.
