Geneva 2010: Lotus Evora Carbon Concept Adds Lightness Underneath the Paint

This may look like your run-of-the-mill Evora. But according to Lotus, this is actually the Carbon Concept, which features some significant changes.

Fittingly, the Evora Carbon Concept's body panels, along with the roof, diffuser, and front spoiler, have been crafted from carbon fiber. We imagine that would help shave some weight off the car, but Lotus provided no details about any subsequent weight savings.

Inside, the cabin is trimmed in Alcantara and leather, and is highlighted by -- what else? -- carbon fiber trim. Outside, the Evora Carbon receives pearlescent white paint, and diamond-cut 19-inch forged wheels.

There's no word if some of these composite parts will eventually work their way to the accessory catalog or a forthcoming special-edition model, but knowing Lotus, we wouldn't be too surprised if they did. Source: Lotus
