The Problem: Over 8000 F-Series trucks and Edge/MKX crossovers may have faulty body control modules. The BCMs could short internally, overheat, and spark a fire.

The Fix: Ford dealers will examine the body control module and replace it if it’s at risk for shorting.

Number of Vehicles Potentially Affected: 8022 2010 Ford Ranger

The Problem: Some Rangers built from October 2009 through May 2010 may be missing a protective sleeve that’s supposed to protect a fuel line near the engine’s throttle body shield. An exposed fuel line constantly in contact with the TB shield could lead to a cut in the line. The gas would then leak into the engine bay, which comes with the risk of fire.

The Fix: Dealers will first trim the throttle body shield, and then inspect the fuel line. If the fuel line exhibits excessive wear, it’ll be replaced. Number of Vehicles Potentially Affected: 23,688
