Frankfurt 2011: Fisker Surf Shooting Brake Debuts

Fisker is branching out beyond its Karma luxury sedan with the new Surf shooting brake. Unlike other shooting brakes, the Surf is a five-door (instead of three); CEO Henrik Fisker has deemed it to be the most beautiful family car ever made.
The Surf uses the same platform, space frame, interior, and powertrain components (two 150 kW electric motors and optionally a 2.0-liter turbo I-4 generator sourced from General Motors) as the Karma, which it will begin being built alongside later this year. The Surf is not a concept car, says Fisker, and it will go on sale in the middle of next year.
Fisker also showed off a black Karma sedan decked out in the company’s new accessory line, CKC. Additions include new wheels, a front spoiler, and rear trunk lip.
