Feeling the need for a sudden Roush in your life? Perhaps the 2011 5XR Mustang is the right sort of pick-me-up.

The 5XR Mustang takes the Ford Mustang GT and fits it with a R2300 Roushcharger to bump power output to 525 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque. This specific Mustang will only be available with a six-speed manual transmission in coupe or convertible form but Roush is limiting the 5XR run to 150 units. Further performance modifications include an exhaust system and complete suspension kit with new dampers, springs, and anti-roll bars. Wheels of choice are 20-inch chrome rims wrapped with Cooper RS3 tires.

The Mustang's exterior already recalls the original iconic shape but the 5XR adapts it for a more aggressive appearance with a full dress-up kit. The front fascia, front splitter, side strakes, rear valence, and rear spoiler are new. A billet grille redirects front airflow for additional engine cooling and all models come with a letter of authenticity from company founder Jack Roush.

The suggested retail price for the 5XR Mustang package is $15,390, not including shipping and handling or the cost of the Mustang GT itself, and the included powertrain and components warranty lasts for three years/36,000 miles. For the thorough Roush and ponycar enthusiast, optional upgrades include a big brake kit, rear quarter window louvers, leather seats, and more.
