We showed you the design sketches, but here are the first official photographs of the 2010 Chevrolet Agile, the B-segment subcompact designed exclusively for South America.

It’s hard to glean much from this image (or the shots of the camouflaged example undergoing testing), but the car doesn’t seem as energetic or curvaceous as the design sketches implied. Still, we dig some cues that were originally shown on the 2008 GPiX concept, including the pseudo-wraparound rear window and the rectangular (and somewhat retro) grille inserts.
<;P class=MsoNormal target="_blank">The best way to judge the Agile would be to see it in person, but we don’t know if we’ll have the opportunity. Rumors of the Agile’s production and sale in North America continue to run rampant, and the fact that these images were seemingly shot inside GM’s Technical Center in Warren, Michigan, will only add fuel to the fire. Still, it’s not uncommon to see forbidden fruit within GM’s playground, and the small hatchback has only been confirmed for Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, and Uruguay.
