Feel the Breeze: Pagani Releases Huayra/C9 Teaser Video ‘Shape of the Wind’

We’ve been seeing Pagani’s upcoming Zonda replacement running around testing for some time now, and have learned a number of details about the car. Now it’s almost time for the wind to clear the fog surrounding the car. In preparation for the official reveal, Pagani has been tempting us with teaser videos, the latest of which, dubbed “The Shape of the Wind,” finally shows some significant portion of the car.

Pagani’s latest teaser video of what may be known as the Huayra, codenamed the C9, is set to some soothing music meant to build intrigue. It starts by showing a portion of the headlight. Then we get a quick glimpse at the beautiful, chrome-ringed gauges followed by an artistic shot of, well, we’re not sure. What we do know though is that this provides the best look at the car yet.

We get to see the front-end, complete with an exposed carbon fiber lip-spoiler. The car also looks set to continue Pagani’s design touch of slightly elevating the center line of the car, creating a stripe. Last, but not least, a full shot of the interior reveals that it is sure to be just as luxurious as the outgoing Zonda.

Other details we’ve learned over the past few years of development include the use of a titanium- carbon composite material, an engine born from continuing relationship between Pagani and AMG, and a ZF-sourced sequential-manual transmission. The AMG-sourced engine is said to be a bespoke, twin-turbocharged unit producing 690 horsepower. Previous spy photos have also revealed gull-wing doors, although we’re unsure if those are production or not.

We’re still not exactly sure when we’ll see the production Huayra, but we know it’s going to be soon. Once the veil is lifted, we should also know for sure whether or not the car is coming to the States. It’s long been reported that the car has been engineered to meet U.S. safety standards and should it actually come here, expect a pricetag in the seven-figure range.

Until then, check out the teaser video below. Click here for video
