DragTimes, a Russian-based outfit, has released a cluster of new videos that includes tuned versions of the mighty Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, Nissan GT-R, and a Lamborghini Gallardo with a reported 1500-hp going head-to-head in quarter mile and mile-long drag races.
The latest video puts a Switzer-tuned 850-hp GT-R and the mighty ZR1 up against a 1500-hp Lamborghini Gallardo. On paper, the GT-R seems to be no match for the Italian exotic, but Godzilla proves to be much more powerful than the raging bull. The Japanese monster tore up the track, finishing the quarter mile in 10.92 seconds, while the Lambo trailed behind to reach the marker in a relatively pedestrian 12.2 seconds. Things get dicier once they get closer to the one-mile finish, as the bull gets angrier and tries to redeem itself to no avail.
Once that race is over, the same Gallardo Twin Turbo UGR matches up against a Lingenfelter-tuned Chevrolet Corvette ZR1. While the Corvette boasts only 730-hp, it appears the battle against the Gallardo is easy as (American) pie, as the Vette hits a reported 12.34-second quarter on a wet track at night. We’re guessing the guy in the Gallardo either doesn’t know how to drive, or trying to keep the 1500-hp car hooked up and on the track is next to impossible.
In the second video, the GT-R comes back for more, and goes head-to-head against a stock 670-hp Ferrari 599 GTO, while the Corvette takes on the same Ferrari later on in the video. More of DragTimes' recent videos include a face-off between two Ford Mustangs, a supercharged Chrysler 300C SRT8 and Mercedes-Benz CL600, and a supercharged Chrysler 300C Hemi that blows several contenders out of the water.
