Feature Flick: Witness "Worst Scenario Ever" in Fastest Car Crash Test

#Ford, #Ford

There are several reasons to not speed on public roads, but television show "Fifth Gear" reminds us  of the reality of everything that can go wrong in such situations after it conducts a crash test that is sure to make you shudder.

This is the show’s fastest car crash they have ever organized, and according to the host, experts knew the deformation would be so great that they were not willing to use their expensive crash test dummies for such a test.  Instead, of couple of store mannequins were chosen to meet their fate as they blast forward toward a concrete wall at 120 mph in a Ford Focus.

The idea behind the test was to simulate the impact of a head-on collision between two cars going such high speeds, which is probable considering many small modern cars are capable of hitting 120 mph.

Find out what the Ford Focus looks like after the crash in the video below.

mE--you need to re-take your physics class. 120 into a fixed barrier is indeed the equivalent of 2 cars meeting at 120.
Someone needs to re-take physics 101: this simulation would be of two cars hitting head on at 60 mph, not 120 mph. For 120mph between two cars, they would have to hit the stationary wall at 240mph. At 60 mph each, the relative speed of two cars would be 120 mph. The reason why they chose this speed is because 60 mph/100km/hr is a common highway speed limit.
