If you can’t get enough of exotics, then you’ll love this episode of Wide Open Throttle. We’ve got news on the most powerful Ferrari in the company’s history, the 700+ horsepower F12 Berlinetta, the highly-anticipated 2013 SRT Viper, and a duo of high-end SUVs from Bentley and Lamborghini.
The 2013 Viper abandons the Dodge name as part of Chrysler’s effort to make SRT its own standalone brand. But more importantly to enthusiasts, it’s expected to have a bigger-than-ever 8.7-liter V-10 with well above 600 horsepower and an equally colossal amount of torque. Unfortunately for the purists, the last of the un-tamed beasts finally gets federally-mandated traction control for 2013.
If you like your horsepower more of the Italian variety, Ferrari will bring it in droves with the F12 Berlinetta that will be unveiled at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. Featuring a 6.3-liter V-12 producing nearly 730 horsepower, it’s the highest-powered street-legal car in the company’s history. And yes, that includes the almighty Enzo.
And for those vehicles we all love to hate, but still buy thousands of, Bentley and Lamborghini are both expected to field ultra-luxury SUVs. The Lamborghini will get a V-10 based on the Gallardo’s engine, and the Bentley could get a turbodiesel V-12.
