It seems Siri, the personal assistant for the iPhone 4S, is constantly learning to adapt to your individual needs. At least one person has gone beyond the mundane burger-joint searching and movie time listings to teaching Siri how to remotely start his Acura TL.
We’ve stumbled across a video showing Siri remotely starting an Acura TL through its aftermarket Viper “Smart Start” alarm and remote start system. According to the video description:
“The command is sent from Siri to a Viper server; then relayed via cellular connection to the car. The car then broadcasts an update via RF to the key chain remote.”
One could read the above description of how Siri interacts with the Viper alarm and car twice in the time it takes from telling Siri to start your car to when it actually does. Although the time delay may be too long if you are trying to leave somewhere quickly, but if you want the car ready for you as you lock the house it may be ready when you get there.
The Viper system is available for all three of the major smartphone platforms, iPhone, BlackBerry and Android, but the voice starting feature only works with the iPhone 4S.
