Videos don't quite do the annual Worthersee festival in Austria justice, but in case you weren't able to jet out to the hot hatch party, the three videos below will allow you to experience it second-hand.
Onto its 32nd year, the Worthersee festival draws in about 200,000 people who get their fill on all things Volkswagen. Tons of modified VeeDubs line the lake shore, and although there were plenty to see, this year's highlight was perhaps the 503-hp all-wheel-drive GTI Design Vision concept. Powered by a 3.0-liter V-6, Volkswagen claims this hot hatch accelerates from 0-62 mph in 3.9 seconds. Also in attendance was the Golf GTI Cabrio Austria, which puts out 328 hp thanks to the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine.
Hatchbacks aside, Volkswagen also brought the Amarok truck concept, which is powered by a 3.0-liter six-cylinder turbodiesel I-4 with a whopping 443 lb-ft of torque. The coolest part though, is that Volkswagen says the bed can fit a racing kart or plenty of workshop equipment. Check out the hot hatchback party in the videos below, which could serve as a reminder that it's never too early to start planning for next year's festival.
