Most concept cars drive no more than a feet throughout their lifespan before they're locked up or scrapped. Porsche is quite proud of the plug-in hybrid station wagon version of its four-door GT, the Panamera Sport Turismo Concept. As such, it made sure the prototype was actually functional. To show it off, Porsche filmed the Panamera wagon driving through what's sure to be its future natural habitat: the streets of Beverly Hills, Calif. Porsche's new video not only gives us our first glimpse of the Panamera Sport Turismo Concept in action, but it also gives us a look at the Sport Turismo's custom gauges, instrument cluster, and side-view cameras –functional touches rarely seen in a concept car. As an added bonus, we also get to hear the Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo Concept designers Mitja Borkert and Michael Mauer discuss some of the more intricate design details that are not immediately apparent to the naked eye. Check out the video for yourself below. Should the Panamera Sport Turismo Concept enter production? Let us know what you think in the comments.
