This week on The World’s Fastest Car Show, host Justin Bell takes on the Lexus LFA, one of the more exciting and surprising supercars in recent memory. This V-10-powered, lightweight Japanese precision instrument ends up in its natural element on the track at Willow Springs Raceway in California.

Bell likens this Lexus to a unicorn in its exclusivity and uniqueness, highlighting its status as Lexus’ halo car and emphasizing the LFA’s relevance despite its age. In fact, Toyota began developing the Lexus LFA in 2000, amazing considering that the car did not debut until 2010. The high-tech materials and technologies used in this supercar were revolutionary at the time, and they still make an impression today despite advancements of its supercar competitors. The amazing amount of engineering put into the Lexus LFA makes for not only staggering levels of performance around the track, but also a precisely-crafted, enjoyable driving experience.

If anything, this video is worth watching just to hear the wail of the Lexus LFA’s 552 horsepower, 4.8-liter V-10 as it runs up to redline. Bell says that this Lexus may be one of the best cars ever made from a harmonic and acoustic perspective.

Check out the video below to see the Lexus LFA supercar in action around the track.
