Think of an endangered species and most of us think pandas and polar bears, not gearheads. But as “Top Gear’s” Jeremy Clarkson points out in Forza Motorsport 4’s latest trailer, “We are an endangered species you, and I.” And yet, he says, “There is hope.”
This latest Forza Motorsport 4 trailer features “Top Gear” presenter Jeremy Clarkson’s opening monologue that gamers are greeted with upon the first time they play Forza 4. However instead of the gratuitous car porn and engine noise we get at the beginning of Forza 4, in this video, titled “Endangered Species,” we get to see a desperate man – a gearhead – try and escape the nanny state (and police) that’s enclosing him. His vehicle of choice? An Aston Martin DB9, which he expertly drifts, drives, and spins while Clarkson’s gearhead manifesto plays in the background.
While the real world may not be the place for you and I, Clarkson says, “There is a safe haven; a place where we are free to challenge conventions, push the laws of physics, and drive our powerful, our beautiful machines hard.” That place Clarkson speaks of isn’t the “Top Gear” Test Track, it’s Forza Motorsport 4.
