In a new video released online by Infiniti, Red Bull Racing driver Sebastian Vettel and Hong Kong-born actress Celina Jade face off against a slew of martial arts baddies in China. The stylized kung-fu clip features as its centerpiece, of course, a gold Infiniti FX50S. Sure. Why not?
If it seems like the elements of this video have no relation, think again. Infiniti recently relocated its global headquarters from Japan to Hong Kong, the birthplace of actress Jade. The gold FX50S is visible because Infiniti is building 200 specially modified examples of the crossover dubbed the FX Sebastian Vettel. Capable of 186 mph, the unique FX will only be sold in Europe and the Middle East. Infiniti also has committed to China by promising to build two vehicles there from 2014.
The "Kung Fu Vettel: Drive of the Dragon" clips shows the aforementioned protagonists taking a tour through China in an Infiniti FX50S. When they stop to explore a small town, the duo is suddenly surrounded by attackers and drawn into a martial arts battle. Who knew an F1 driver was so skilled at judo chops, leaps, and kicks?
