Feature Flick: Five Minute Documentary of Mercedes-Benz AMG History

AMG has been quite busy since it opened up shop more than 40 years ago and Mercedes-Benz USA has just released a short video showcasing a few of its key milestones.

The historical video highlights AMG’s most recent hand-built engines including the award-winning 5.5-liter supercharged Kompressor V-8 that debuted in 2001, and the 6.3-liter naturally-aspirated V8 that we first saw in 2005.

Also included is a recap of the three-pointed star's racing achievements, for those who need  a little brushing up on AMG’s motorsports trivia, including the 300SEL 6.8 AMG that won 1st place in the 1971 24 Hours of Spa-Francochamps and the many German Touring Car Championship (DTM) wins with race driver Bernd Schneider. Enjoy!
