In preparation for the launch of the 2012 C-Class Coupe, Mercedes-Benz has released a series of teaser videos for its upcoming online film Drive and Seek. The film will showcase the newest Mercedes coupe in an online interactive movie.
While details have been sparse on how exactly the film will be interactive with its viewers or what, besides the new C-Class Coupe, it will feature, the 60-second trailer helps the clue us in. We see a debonair gentleman entering a large bank in a downtown metropolis. In busts a trio of gorgeous, black-wigged women wielding guns and dressed in dark sunglasses and skin-tight white catsuits. With everyone in the bank cowering on the floor after the entrance of the bodacious bank robbers, our hero stands up and offers himself up to the vixens. The announcer tells us that “Sometimes things are worth dying for. But today, dying is not part of the plan,” as a montage of chase scenes with three C-Class Coupes plays out.
The two teaser videos each contain just a 25-second clip – but having watched the trailer first – help us to establish some guess to what might be going on in Drive and Seek. The video “Dynamics” shows two of our criminals climbing into a set of C Coupes and driving off down a runway. However, second clip, “Style” gives us more substance. It opens with establishing shots of interior and exterior accents of the new coupe. We then see our dapper hero from the trailer exit his own C Coupe and walk up to the bank; the clip ends just before the point at which the trailer begins.
Mercedes says the full release of Drive and Seek will be in March 2011, but we don’t know when exactly. We are going to assume that the male protagonist is in on the game somehow, given that the girls are only seen with two of the three coupes we see in the trailer. What do you think is being sought and where do you think the C-Class Coupes could be driving? Check out the trailer and two teasers below and let us know what you think in the comments.
