Jaguar has now released a new short film developed with Ridley Scott Associates. Titled "Desire," the flick is headlined by Damian Lewis, but the real star of the flick is a 2014 Jaguar F-Type V8 S.

The film is set around the premise of a dapper British gentleman – played by Lewis – delivering the salsa-red roadster to one Ernesto Augustan Martinez (Jordi Mollà) in the Chilean desert. However, it's not as simple as just brining the F-Type to Mr. Martinez, as a quick pit stop turns into Martinez's wife – played by the sultry Shannyn Sossamon – hops into the Jag and tells Lewis to drive. She's on the run from her not-quite ex-husband with a suitcase full of her "divorce settlement."

Luckily for those who aren't cinema for connoisseurs, the plot of "Desire" is fairly thin. In place of character and story development are fantastic shots of the F-Type in motion and the aural delights of the 5.0-liter supercharged V-8. That engine, if you remember correctly, pumps out 495 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque; power is sent through an eight-speed automatic to the rear wheels and can rocket the F-Type V8 S to 60 mph in just 4.2 seconds and onto a top speed of 186 mph. The 2014 F-Type is also offered with a supercharged 3.0-liter V-6 in either 340- or 380-hp variants.

We won't give away the twist at the end of the almost-fourteen-minute video, but it's worth a watch, if only for the F-Type. Looking past the starring Jag, the cinematography crafted by Ridley Scott Associates is quite beautiful, too. Check out "Desire" below, along with the three "Making Of" videos, as well as the music video for the film's title song, "Burning Desire" by Lana Del Rey.
