Ferrari used the snow-capped slopes of Madonna di Campiglio, Italy – the home of World Cup downhill alpine ski races – to slalom two all-wheel-drive Ferrari FFs driven by the marquees two best racecar pilots.
The four-passenger, four-wheel drive Ferrari FFs were driven by Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa (who normally pilot Ferrari Scuderia models). The two drivers went head-to-head out the gate, and up and down the slope in the 660-horsepowered V-12-powered cars.
Ferrari credits the FFs integral all-wheel-drive system and electronic control systems as well as the 47 percent front and 53 percent rear weight distribution and the drivers’ skills for making it to the finish line at the same time without incident.
"It’s incredible how easy it is to drive the FF even on such a demanding surface and at the same time, how high a performance level you can reach in it," said Alonso in a release.
“The most incredible thing about the car is the fact there is no need to compromise maximum performance and usability, whatever the driving environment,” said Massa. “And on top of that, it’s perfect for everyday use with the whole family in the car.”
The event was no doubt a press stunt, but nonetheless proved the abilities of the Ferrari FF as a year-round driver with room for a family of four and was a fantastic spectacle to behold. Check it out below.
