Feature Flick: 2014 Nissan 370Z Nismo Races Gravity

Which is faster: A 2014 Nissan 370Z Nismo, or a BASE jumper wearing a wingsuit? That burning question has now been put to rest, thanks to this video from Nismo. In the clip, a 2014 Nissan 370Z Nismo races down a winding mountain ride with BASE jumping expert Dave Barlia flies alongside the road.

At the helm of the 2014 Nissan 370Z Nismo is Peter Pyzera, winner of the German Nissan GT Academy program that saw video gamers receive training for real-life racing competition. His chances in the race are made better by a 3.7-liter V-6 rated for 350 hp and 276 lb-ft of torque, along with Nismo-specific brake and suspension upgrades. Barlia, meanwhile, is powered only by gravity, but manages to hit speeds of 130 mph while flying 4501 feet down the Swiss mountainside.

In addition to the race between the 2014 Nissan 370Z Nismo and the wingsuit jumper, Nismo provided a behind-the-scenes look at the many steps necessary to film such an ambitious stunt. You can see both clips embedded below.
