We're less than a month away from the official debut of the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette, and the automaker is continuing to whet our appetites for the new sports car with a series of video teasers. The latest clip, called Craft, provides hints as to the materials used for the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette interior.

The "Craft" video opens on a close-up of carbon fiber trim, which appears to line the car's dashboard. The rest of the clip shows Chevrolet designers working with sewing machines and scissors to prepare stitched leather; a close-up reveals the car's seats have black leather with a pair of white stitch lines. It's proof that the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette will have a much more impressive interior; we've frequently criticized the bland, plasticky cabin of the current car.

"The interior is where you actually experience the car," Chevrolet performance-car interior design manager Ryan Vaughan explains. "It's literally the connection you have to the car, so it has to be perfect."

A previous interior teaser video revealed that the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette has an LCD instrument cluster with programmable screens and a centrally located tachometer, as well as a contoured steering wheel with an abundance of buttons for controlling those features. The first teaser video, dubbed Conception, highlighted the sports car's aerodynamic design and allowed us to hear its 6.2-liter LT1 V-8 engine purr to life.

Chevrolet won't reveal the entire car until the eve of the Detroit auto show, January 13, although eager video-gamers can test-drive the car in the PlayStation game Gran Turismo 5. The automaker has already detailed the new V-8 engine that will be at the heart of the 2014 Corvette. Expected to produce 450 hp, the LT1 engine has advanced features like direct fuel injection, cylinder shut-off, variable valve timing, and an optional dry-sump oiling system.

Chevrolet plans to release another 2014 Corvette teaser video on January 10, just ahead of the car's debut in Detroit.
